Grease The Musical at The Piccadilly Theatre was one of the longest running shows at the West End venue.
Grease opened at The Piccadilly Theatre on 25 July 2007 and continued at the theatre until 30 April 2011, an incredible run lasting nearly four years, selling an amazing number of tickets.
The show found it’s two leads via a television reality show and cast the winners Danny Bayne as greaser Danny and Susan McFadden as the lovely Sandy in the production directed by David Gilmore. Later on the cast leads were played by Lauren Samuels as Sandy and Noel Sullivan took the part of Danny.
Grease The Musical features plenty of toe tapping tunes from the era of the film as well as the legendary tracks ‘Summer Nights‘, ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You‘, ‘Grease Is The Word‘, and ‘Greased Lightnin‘.
It’s a classic show and we’re sure it won’t be too long before there’s another West End revival to get those T Birds and Pink Ladies back on the stage.
